Season and included callout
The recurring winter season runs November 1–March 31. Quotes normally use five monthly instalments unless another schedule is agreed.
First-Day and Second-Day Norstead Snow Service include one customer-requested off-trigger callout per monthly billing period. Unused callouts do not roll over. This benefit is not included with driveway-only Plow Service.
Questions before you book
Are walkways included?
Norstead Snow Service includes the driveway, walks and access areas agreed in your quote. Driveway-only Plow Service covers the driveway.
When does the service window start?
The 24-hour or 48-hour completion window starts after snowfall stops. Heavy, multi-day storms may involve access-clear passes before the full clear.
Will snow remain near my garage or parked vehicles?
For driveway plowing, we typically leave a 1–3 ft buffer from garage doors. If you have driveway-only service and want that section cleared, shovel the garage-door buffer and other small areas you want cleared into the accessible plow-clearing portion of your driveway before our visit. We can remove that snow with the plow; otherwise snow will remain in those buffers.
During manual clearing, we typically leave a 1–2 ft buffer around parked vehicles and similar obstacles, depending on the situation. These clearances help protect vehicles and property; snow may remain in those areas.
Does snow clearing include ice treatment?
Snow clearing does not guarantee bare pavement or ice-free surfaces. Compact snow or ice may remain. Sanding, de-icing and snow hauling are excluded unless expressly included in your quote.
What if a vehicle or gate blocks access?
Keep agreed areas accessible, with vehicles, gates, items and pets managed before service. Any additional return visit follows the terms agreed in your quote.
Will you clear a ridge left by city plows?
Snow ridges left by city plows are typically handled during our normal visits when they are present. If the city plow passes between visits, you can use an available included callout to request ridge removal. Included callouts apply to First-Day and Second-Day Norstead Snow Service; driveway-only Plow Service does not include them.
Any one-time visit outside your contract terms is a $50 callout.
What about drifting snow?
Your quote confirms how drifting is handled for your property. Recurring service does not promise unlimited return visits.
How do I get a quote?
Send your property address and the areas you want cleared. Include useful access or timing details. We may request photos or arrange a site visit before providing the scope and price.
